The task

On site the daily report is written on paper, then entered a second time at the office in the evening. Hours, materials, tools and vehicles sit in separate lists that nobody brings together. And wherever there is no mobile signal — a basement, a shell construction, a tunnel — an application that only works online is no help at all.

The solution

An application where reports, hours, stock, tools and vehicles belong together. Everything is recorded where the work happens, signal or no signal; once the network is back, the data travels on by itself. Photos go from the phone straight into the report, and sign-off runs in one or two stages — whichever way the company actually works.

The technology

Laravel 13 with PHP, delivered as an installable web app for phones. That a company sees only its own data is not a setting somebody can forget to tick — it is attached to the database query itself. Invoices are produced as PDFs carrying a Swiss QR code, subscriptions run through Stripe. More than a thousand tests pin down what has to keep working.

The result

The report is written once, where the work happens — not twice, the second time from memory. Four languages are maintained equally, thirteen trades bring their own metrics, and what the accountant needs at the end of the month is an export rather than an evening of retyping.
